Welcome to the Voices from the Palestinian Diaspora digital site.

Here, you have the opportunity to explore a collection of interviews: personal testimonies from members of the global Palestinian diaspora.

The Interview Collections

The Voices from the Palestinian Diaspora project is split into two main sections, which delineate the various interviews into categories based on their experiences. Then, many interviewees have their interviews split into multiple parts within their larger subcategories, in order to create a smooth learning experience. Explore the two interview collections to the right :).

  • “Many of [my mother’s] relatives had been deceased already [by the time she was able to return], so that’s one of the tragedies of the diaspora. I’ve never met any of my grandparents. Ever. Because by the time I was able to go there, you know, they were all dead. And they never came to Peru because they could barely survive under the circumstances there.”

    Mike Khabar

  • “My whole life, it has been a dream of mine, to go, to live: that I will return and live there and that everything is calm.”

    "Dahlia," 2024

  • I think us, as Palestinian Christians, have a duty towards every Palestinian, and to put an end to Islamophobia, and to say this is not about religions. - Yassmin

  • To me, talking about Palestine is like how every day you have to get up to go to work, to study. You go on with your life, you do what is important to you.

Note: To be considered a member of the Palestinian diaspora, in the opinion of Voices From The Palestinian Diaspora is simply defined as Palestinian people currently living outside of Palestine, who have been displaced or denied the ability to return to their homelands in Palestine. This includes individuals whose parents, grandparents, etc. were pushed off their land before they were born. If you have questions about this definition and how it might apply to you, please reach out.
